My Timehop today made me realise that it is the one year anniversary of me starting this blog. I won't lie to you that feels absolutely ridiculous that a whole year has passed. I remember the anxiety I felt after sharing that first post and how exposed it made me feel putting that side of myself out there for people to see. Now, a year down the line I'm shameless, happy to openly discuss everything and anything from mental health to my own love life. Not only am I exposed, I'm Jennifer Beals in her final audition in Flashdance like 'yaaaaas b*tch read all about it'.

I love sitting down and writing a new post, I only regret that I haven't been able to stick to posting once a week, but guys, that's life. One thing my Mum has told me time and time again is that life doesn't stick to a plan. Things happen and plans change, you've just got to roll with it. Speaking of change, I have recently got myself a new job – yay! My first job was great for a long while and I won't regret it for a second because of all the wonderful people I met. However, now I'm finally in a creative role, with a smart caj dress code...hurrah!! So cya later 'only black pumps or court heels' rule. Au revoir 'no face piercings' rule. Hasta la vista 'neutral makeup only' rule. I can be fabulous now.

With the change of season comes so many new changes, especially with Autumn which for me is THE BEST of all them all. Not only do we get a change in wardrobe - we can wear jumpers again...yay! But all of the best foods and drinks start to emerge. Mulled wine and cider to warm the cockles of your heart, spiced latte's to wake you up on the right side of bed in the morning, dinky donuts, casseroles, roast dinners, dumplings...need I go on? Autumn is, however, the month to bunker down and look after yourself. Take some multi-vitamins to avoid a cold, flick the heating on if you need, throw a couple of throws on top of your duvet and invest in a decent coat, but still get outside and enjoy the crisp sunny weather while it lasts!

I'm going to use this seasonal change to shed a few qualms I've been holding on to, to reinvent myself slightly and learn from the mistakes of a very boozy summer. 2016 has been a rough year all round, but it's not over yet. With the speed at which this last year has passed, I for one don't want to be wishing time away. It's making me wonder that if this is the pace of the real world then maybe the trick to it all is honing in on the little things we can appreciate each day. Cliché, I know. I feel so seasoned.

More to follow!
